These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are issued by SOVABOO DIGITAL OÜ (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”),
a limited liability company registered in Estonia (registry code 17150442), with its registered address at Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kesklinna linnaosa, Narva mnt 5, 10117, operating the multilingual literary and publishing platform sovaboo.com (“the Sovaboo Platform”, “the Website”).

By accessing or using the Sovaboo Platform, you (“the User”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and all related policies referenced herein.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. About the Sovaboo Platform

The Sovaboo Platform provides users with access to digital literary content, including:

online publications of literary works (“Writings”) created by approved authors,
blog posts, comments, and community discussions,
author profiles, news, and updates related to literature and publishing.

All content on the Sovaboo Platform is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
At this time, all access and reading functionality are free of charge. The Platform does not currently sell paid subscriptions or digital goods.

2. Eligibility and User Accounts

You may create a user account using your email address or by signing in with Google.
You must provide accurate and valid information when registering.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.
Accounts are intended for individual use only and may not be transferred or shared.
The Company reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these Terms or other policies.

3. Roles of Users

There are two main types of users on the Sovaboo Platform:

Readers – can read content, comment, and update their profile avatar.
Authors – may publish literary works and blog posts after passing a review and approval process conducted by the Platform administration.

Only approved Authors have access to content publication features.
All published materials are subject to moderation in accordance with the Ethics, Rules & Moderation Policy.

4. Content Ownership and License

4.1 Ownership by Authors

Authors retain full copyright and intellectual property rights to their original works published on the Sovaboo Platform.

By publishing content, an Author grants SOVABOO DIGITAL OÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

host, display, and distribute the content on the Platform;
translate, format, and adapt the content for technical or interface purposes;
promote the content within the Platform’s ecosystem.

This license is limited to the operation of the Sovaboo Platform and does not transfer ownership.

4.2 User Comments and Avatars

Users who post comments or upload profile photos grant the Company a similar limited license to display such materials as part of their account activity.
Users must not upload or share copyrighted, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful content.

5. Content Standards and Moderation

All users must comply with the Ethics, Rules & Moderation Policy.

The Company reserves the right to:

remove or restrict access to any content that violates applicable laws or these Terms;
moderate comments, avatars, or other user-generated materials;
suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly breach these rules.

For literary and blog content, the Company acts as a hosting intermediary, providing infrastructure and moderation in good faith.

6. Adult (18+) Content

Certain works or posts may include mature themes and are classified as adult-rated (18+).
Such content is text-based and may involve depictions of romantic relationships, strong language, or emotionally complex themes.
The Platform does not host or distribute pornographic or sexually explicit materials.

Access to adult-rated content is regulated in accordance with the
Adult (18+) Content Policy,
which describes age verification, labeling, and author responsibilities in detail.

7. Intellectual Property and Copyright

All materials on the Sovaboo Platform, including design, trademarks, and original text, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our
Privacy Policy
and Cookies Policy.
By using the Platform, you consent to the processing of your information as described in those documents.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Sovaboo Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”.
SOVABOO DIGITAL OÜ makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:

any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Platform;
user-generated or third-party content;
interruptions, data loss, or unauthorized access caused by external factors.

10. Termination

The Company may, at its discretion and without prior notice:

suspend or delete your account,
remove or restrict content,
or block access to certain functionality,
if your actions violate these Terms, applicable law, or any of our policies.

11. Changes to the Platform or Terms

The Company may update or modify the Platform, its features, or these Terms at any time.
All changes take effect upon publication. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Tallinn, Estonia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
